The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when ZORZAL01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save ZORZAL01 from getting a goal against them. A collision led to ZORZAL01 getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Julian Perutxo hit a great ball. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Rocha in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Rocha in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauricio Maura saved ZORZAL01 from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Alagoano got free with Mauricio Maura in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Rocha came free, but Mauricio Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ZORZAL01's Mauricio Maura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by César Alagoano in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Barbosa in the 33rd minute of play forced ZORZAL01's goalkeeper Mauricio Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauricio Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Perutxo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Mauricio Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Lázaro Darien fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ZORZAL01's protests and gave Lázaro Darien a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Lázaro Darien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ZORZAL01's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dalmo Rocha 42 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Nova Iguaçu MZFC's César Alagoano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mauricio Maura. That made the score 3-0 after 45 minutes of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Firmo to make the kick off. Everardo Calvino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Giuseppe Lara made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, ZORZAL01's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Barbosa came free, but Mauricio Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 4-0 became the score in the 61st minute when Telmo Barbosa elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Apolo Dalmau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZORZAL01's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. Apolo Dalmau hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Brais in the 67th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Giuseppe Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Guilherme Mandrak was substituted for Gernando Mineiro. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Tiaguinho Leme was substituted for Zé Carlos Cordeiro.
