With a little luck, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Silvinho Gaúcho got control of the ball when Martyn Markham tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10th minute, Martyn Markham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Xande Gol came free, but Wesley Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Jenkins to maneuver through the defense. Wesley Kerr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Gol in the 16th minute of the match. When Leon Ricketts fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valencia C.F.'s protests and gave Leon Ricketts a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Ricketts hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Valencia C.F. defense, Xande Gol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wesley Kerr. The Valencia C.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wesley Kerr should have stopped the shot. If Xande Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xandinho Yamal during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 43rd minute of the match Geovânio Viana completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Geovânio Viana a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 44th minute, Geovânio Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martyn Markham to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Lilley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Tepedino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Wesley Kerr made a huge save. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Valencia C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Ricketts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Xande Gol hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Spike Moyse. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New Joinville - FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
