Geovânio Viana's late challenge caught a Terremoto FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Terremoto FC booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvinho Gaúcho made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Cesar Bartoleme sent off a good shot on target. Severino Sotero succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 83rd playminute. Terremoto FC's Severino Sotero got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, José Carlos Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The New Joinville - FSCMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Terremoto FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Terremoto FC.
