The Avel Vat fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Avel Vat's Léonard Beuve looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jonas Planchon hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A collision led to Avel Vat getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Noureddine Lacan hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Avel Vat's Paulo Mansilha threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marco Nugues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 19 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Léonard Beuve came free, but Paulo Mansilha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Collinet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 played minutes Avel Vat got a freekick which was hit by Côme Rouquette. Aristides Veloso kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube de Gaya's zone, Léonard Beuve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Mansilha came out of the goal and Léonard Beuve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Marco Nugues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Léonard Beuve made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léonard Beuve in the 57th minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Paulo Mansilha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Collinet in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Mansilha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bakary Soula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Mansilha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bakary Soula in the 67th minute of the match. Léonard Beuve scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Mansilha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st minute Simon Collinet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Mansilha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lisandro Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Marco Nugues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st match minute, Avel Vat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Estienne to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Mansilha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Collinet in the 95th minute of play.
