The referee ignored BOI BRABO FC's protests and gave Acácio Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. Acácio Tasso hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Capixaba got a throw-in 24 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gilvan Lucas. FC Kuurne's Bernard Spoelberchs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Leguizamón in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Leguizamón in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Spoelberchs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iván Leguizamón in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernard Spoelberchs saved FC Kuurne from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Iván Leguizamón left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOI BRABO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 36th match minute, FC Kuurne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dylan van der Eycken to maneuver through the defense. Bernard Spoelberchs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iván Leguizamón's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Bernard Spoelberchs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iván Leguizamón in the 39th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Leguizamón in the 40th minute of play forced FC Kuurne's goalkeeper Bernard Spoelberchs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 67th minute Artur Van Meerbeec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Tingberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
