Zafer Hürsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's Zbyszko Okraszewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 8 in the game by Håkan Kjellman from a close distance when the talented Zbyszko Okraszewski managed to make a qualified save. SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's players were relieved. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Wassenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Aron Sjöberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Gabriel Söderström got a free kick in the 16th minute. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Wassenius came free, but Zafer Hürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zafer Hürsel having to interfere. Zbyszko Okraszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Snell in the 28th minute of play. Liu Xiong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zafer Hürsel having to make a save. SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's Zbyszko Okraszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Snell in the 35th minute of play. Zbyszko Okraszewski made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Peter Snell sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Wassenius made a kick off. Zbyszko Okraszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Forsman hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Zafer Hürsel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahmet Vefik Pınarbaşı. Zbyszko Okraszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Ivarsson in the 57th minute of play. Zbyszko Okraszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Ivarsson in the 61st minute of the match. Zbyszko Okraszewski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Snell's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. With a little luck, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel got control of the ball when Liu Xiong tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's Dedê Neiva slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zafer Hürsel. That made the score 0-1 after 73 minutes of play. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg made a substitution. 徐默钢 replaced Håkan Kjellman. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Charles Forsman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Liu Xiong in the 78 minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi's goal looked a bit too open when 徐默钢 came free, but Zbyszko Okraszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Dedê Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Neiva couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute Bertil Wassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafer Hürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Wassenius succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 88th playminute. In the 94th minute, Dedê Neiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi played a much better game than FC Zenit Saint Petersburg and deserved their victory. The FC Zenit Saint Petersburg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
