The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Poul Stanković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Okraszewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poul Stanković took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zbyszko Okraszewski. Santo Lano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Bentham, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 34th minute, Ahmet Vefik Pınarbaşı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emirşah Berkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Wassenius made a kick off. Tarık Adar's late challenge caught a Clube Audax Metropolitano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarık Adar helped the player get up and apologised. Zbyszko Okraszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Poul Stanković, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vince Bentham in the 87th minute of play forced Clube Audax Metropolitano's goalkeeper Santo Lano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clube Audax Metropolitano's zone, Vince Bentham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Lano came out of the goal and Vince Bentham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SOMA-Anadolu Ateşi manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Clube Audax Metropolitano to win.
