After 19 minutes of play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santo Lano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. 37 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Lindberg came free, but Santo Lano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Sampler came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Poul Stanković. But to his dismay, Poul Stanković quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Mercado Paulista F.C. La Fuente stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santo Lano. 3-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 3-4.

59 minutes into the match, Emirşah Berkman notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler. Franco Sampler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emirşah Berkman in the 62nd minute of play. Bjørn Ironside's late challenge caught a Mercado Paulista F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bjørn Ironside helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Bjørn Ironside. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Pedro Prestes was substituted for Emirşah Berkman. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Bruno Aleixo was substituted for Claudinho Quadros. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Eriberto Netto was substituted for Poul Stanković. In the 73rd match minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjørn Ironside to maneuver through the defense. Dong Xi Xiong scored 4-5 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santo Lano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After taking down the ball on Clube Audax Metropolitano's corner Maicon Mattos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Franco Sampler quite easily take care of the ball. Mercado Paulista F.C were furious when Hans Doss was red carded, 85 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Emanuel Esteves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franco Sampler. Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Franco Sampler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjørn Ironside, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 97th match minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Esteves to maneuver through the defense. In the 100th minute Pedro Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sampler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mercado Paulista F.C's Franco Sampler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Prestes in the 100th minute of play. The Mercado Paulista F.C players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
