Roberto Layton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Betzanos to make the kick off. Uruguay's Diego Godin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Diego Godin got a free kick in the 66th minute. Estevam Moroño took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Layton. Roberto Layton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 73 minutes into the match, Estevam Moroño dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roberto Layton, 1-4. Eliézer Prata got a throw-in 77 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ferenc Puskás. In the 80thth minute of the game Estevam Moroño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆'s Roberto Layton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roberto Layton stood somewhat misplaced when Estevam Moroño came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 80 minute. In the 85th minute, Estevam Moroño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. Roberto Layton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Estevam Moroño went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferenc Puskás in the 91st minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Hilario Pesquera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Uruguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
