Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 14th match minute, Tabossi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Pudes to maneuver through the defense. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mete Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tabossi getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Ernesto Nalo hit a great ball. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Gol in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Madison's Henri Ladva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nery Pumpido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramiro Isusko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Ernesto Emmanuel made a huge save. Ás Ronaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mete Gol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Nery Pumpido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastián Boselli made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tabossi's Ernesto Nalo. 36 minutes into the match, Mete Gol notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tabossi's Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mete Gol in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Ás Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tabossi's Nery Pumpido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ás Ronaldo took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Sebastián Boselli made in the 46th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Henri Ladva immediately put the ball in play. Mete Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nery Pumpido having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ás Ronaldo to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Nery Pumpido successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Madison's Mete Gol in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tabossi's goalie prevented a goal. Madison's Mete Gol got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Madison's Hugo Llin was substituted for Omar Osasun. A collision led to Madison getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hugo Llin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Mete Gol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madison's supporters rose to their feet, but Mete Gol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nery Pumpido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ás Ronaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tabossi made a substitution. Armando Bondi replaced Ramiro Isusko. Tabossi made a substitution. Rolando Botello replaced Tadeo Eneas. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ás Ronaldo in the 76th minute. Henri Ladva struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Nery Pumpido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madison. 87 minutes into the match, Tabossi's goalkeeper Nery Pumpido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Gol. In the 88th minute, Armando Bondi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Tabossi's goal looked a bit too open when Ás Ronaldo came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Ás Ronaldo sped through Tabossi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nery Pumpido. Madison's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
