Edmond Verdun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 12th minute, Victorino Sandalio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uriel Chorche was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Sandalio in the 20th minute of the match. When Alifonso Irureta fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defensores del Ángel Gris's protests and gave Alifonso Irureta a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Defensores del Ángel Gris got a freekick which was hit by Alifonso Irureta. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Gines in the 23rd minute of play. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Serafim Catranides got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Gines took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uriel Chorche. Uriel Chorche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Gines in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Defensores del Ángel Gris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Unzaga to maneuver through the defense. Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Jerardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Savion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Gilabert in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernard Ochabski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Alifonso Irureta seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alifonso Irureta the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Defensores del Ángel Gris protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alifonso Irureta had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Alifonso Irureta hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Gines in the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidro Gines got free with Uriel Chorche in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Errecaborda AFC's Rogelio Jakes was substituted for Aírton Urbano. Errecaborda AFC made a substitution. Hipolito Neron replaced Miguel Savion. Rogelio Jakes made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Mauro Rameriz. Pastor Ado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Chorche having to interfere. If Leo Unzaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Defensores del Ángel Gris supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Errecaborda AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Errecaborda AFC.
