With a little luck, LE TALADRO F.C's Lilian Montane got control of the ball when Óli á Borg tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, LE TALADRO F.C's goalkeeper Lilian Montane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Óli á Borg. GÍ Gøta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jerzy Maurycy in the 17th minute. Battal Seyyit Erenoz was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Gilles Morisson's late challenge caught a GÍ Gøta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilles Morisson helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Óli á Borg to make the kick off. The supporters of GÍ Gøta booed when LE TALADRO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilles Morisson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendan Saint-Germain's late challenge caught a GÍ Gøta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendan Saint-Germain helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LE TALADRO F.C getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Brendan Saint-Germain hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LE TALADRO F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
