After 4 minutes of play, REAL SUOMI CF's Karl-Axel Majman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toni Schumacher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Toni Schumacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Matela, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the match, U21 Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Bruse came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. REAL SUOMI CF's 董响斐 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Pasteur in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Venezuela's zone, Diogo Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toni Schumacher came out of the goal and Diogo Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, Karl-Axel Majman made a precise shot to the right of Toni Schumacher. U21 Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of U21 Venezuela booed when REAL SUOMI CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Söder didn't get a good kick on the ball. The U21 Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when U21 Venezuela's Santo Pablo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half REAL SUOMI CF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santo Pablo to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santo Pablo in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 董响斐 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marek Matela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute Santo Pablo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 董响斐 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 董响斐 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Gay in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, REAL SUOMI CF's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Pasteur came free, but 董响斐 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 minutes of play U21 Venezuela's Xabel Vilafranca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. The supporters of U21 Venezuela booed when REAL SUOMI CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Bruse didn't get a good kick on the ball.
