Calistrat Şerbănescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Hustaz having to interfere. When Damian Cârlan fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Damian Cârlan a yellow card for diving instead. Benedicto Hustaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 26th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Şerbănescu came free, but Benedicto Hustaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedicto Hustaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damian Cârlan in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedicto Hustaz saved AFC FUSION from getting behind. Sebastian Istodor kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca booed when AFC FUSION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Teyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47thth minute of the game Petruț Crivac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC FUSION's Benedicto Hustaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Marco Lorien made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of AFC FUSION booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Rotariu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 51 played minutes, AFC FUSION's Carolo Rico shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vlad Covrig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC FUSION reached it. With a little luck, AFC FUSION's Benedicto Hustaz got control of the ball when Calistrat Şerbănescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Carolo Rico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC FUSION's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca the free kick. A collision led to AFC FUSION getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Carolo Rico hit a great ball. Edgard Abascal kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Rotariu to maneuver through the defense. After 61 played minutes AFC FUSION got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Iaki. Sebastian Istodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65thth minute of the game Calistrat Şerbănescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC FUSION's Benedicto Hustaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Calistrat Şerbănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedicto Hustaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Benedicto Hustaz had great luck who in the 73rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Calistrat Şerbănescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC FUSION's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute Calistrat Şerbănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Hustaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Eric Astafei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benedicto Hustaz. Benedicto Hustaz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. After 91 minutes, Calistrat Şerbănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca and the AFC FUSION players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Calistrat Şerbănescu. Benedicto Hustaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calistrat Şerbănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
