Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horea Hurmuzache prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Calistrat Şerbănescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Hurmuzache having to interfere. After 9 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Adam Rednic. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Damian Cârlan hit a great ball. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 27th minute of play. If Toader Berbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Șerban Damian hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Calistrat Şerbănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Calistrat Şerbănescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horea Hurmuzache breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes, Calistrat Şerbănescu made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. DINAMO's Horea Hurmuzache tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The DINAMO players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Rednic made a kick off. Calistrat Şerbănescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horea Hurmuzache came out and tried to block the shot, but Calistrat Şerbănescu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 52nd minute. Horea Hurmuzache made an important save on a dangerous shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 56th minute. The supporters of DINAMO booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Astafei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Istodor was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Horea Hurmuzache came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu. But to his dismay, Calistrat Şerbănescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Horea Hurmuzache was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Calistrat Şerbănescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Calistrat Şerbănescu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The audience was convinced that Calistrat Şerbănescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Hurmuzache was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Damian Cârlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Horea Hurmuzache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Hurmuzache stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calistrat Şerbănescu's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Calistrat Şerbănescu let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 79th minute shot 0-8 at rihgt post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horea Hurmuzache saved DINAMO from getting behind. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Calistrat Şerbănescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Calistrat Şerbănescu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-10 to the left of a surprised Horea Hurmuzache 90 minutes into the match. Damian Cârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Hurmuzache having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calistrat Şerbănescu in the 96th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
