In the 9th minute Kristian Oswald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franci Plánička saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 11 in the game by Rodrick Ludwig from a close distance when the talented Rune Jarstein managed to make a qualified save. Hertha 1969's players were relieved. Hertha 1969's Stefan Mayer suffered a concussion after 37 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Berki during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martin Berki hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franci Plánička prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Franci Plánička made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Paulo da Silva in the 93rd minute. The Hertha 1969 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
