In the 9thth minute of the game Oleg Velychko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitefield AFC's Abdallah Sguir was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ali Negrouz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Shlyk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Abdallah Sguir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oleg Velychko's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Abdallah Sguir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaroslav Kotelyukh in the 21st minute of the match. Salah Trabelsi might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Shlyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Salah Trabelsi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Oleg Velychko fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romny's protests and gave Oleg Velychko a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Romny's Oleg Velychko got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes, Stepan Balioz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romny and the Whitefield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Whitefield AFC booed when Romny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stepan Balioz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Shlyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Negrouz in the 33rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salah Trabelsi was the one to do the kick off. Oleg Velychko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salah Trabelsi took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Shlyk. Artur Shlyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Chedi Limam hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Stepan Ptashnyk, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Yaroslav Kotelyukh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaroslav Kotelyukh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Yaroslav Kotelyukh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romny's supporters rose to their feet, but Yaroslav Kotelyukh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The penalty shot was made by Stepan Ptashnyk, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Whitefield AFC's Abdallah Sguir. 1-2. With a little luck, Whitefield AFC's Abdallah Sguir got control of the ball when Yaroslav Kotelyukh tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Whitefield AFC's Ali Negrouz in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Romny's goalie prevented a goal. Yaroslav Kotelyukh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdallah Sguir having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Romny eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
