Muharrem Orus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henning Rühmann. Ilserheide FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ant Sarper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Önder İlbaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deon Grooten in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Mike Quint mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ilserheide FC and the Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ilserheide FC's Mike Quint got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Nuratay Sidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Rühmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Ilserheide FC's Önder İlbaşı threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sol Motz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 16 played minutes Ilserheide FC got a freekick which was hit by Steve Müntefering. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Vahdet Turkay suffered a sore thigh after 18 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Jostein Latocha's late challenge caught a Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jostein Latocha helped the player get up and apologised. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü made a substitution. Deniz Cespan replaced Vahdet Turkay. In the 20th match minute, Ilserheide FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jostein Latocha to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Ilserheide FC's Deon Grooten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Asaf Beyhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Henning Rühmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henning Rühmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuratay Sidal in the 28th minute of play. In the 35th minute Deon Grooten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Önder İlbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilserheide FC were furious when Steve Müntefering was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 38th minute, one of Ilserheide FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ilserheide FC. Berko Henke came free with the goalkeeper in the 49th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Önder İlbaşı could save by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Berko Henke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Önder İlbaşı having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Asaf Beyhan got a free kick in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Ilserheide FC's Deon Grooten got a free kick in the 60th minute. Önder İlbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berko Henke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game Mike Quint who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Önder İlbaşı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute Berko Henke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Önder İlbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Deniz Cespan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henning Rühmann. That made the score 1-3 after 75 minutes of play. Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's Ant Sarper got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuratay Sidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Henning Rühmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuratay Sidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henning Rühmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute Sol Motz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Önder İlbaşı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nuratay Sidal came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuratay Sidal couldn't finish the play. Ilserheide FC's Henning Rühmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuratay Sidal in the 86th minute of play. Asaf Beyhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berko Henke in the 92nd minute of play forced Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's goalkeeper Önder İlbaşı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilserheide FC's Sol Motz got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Ilserheide FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü's performance. The match ended with a win for Beşiktaş Jimnastik Klubü.
