Edgar Gniech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Henning Rühmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Deon Grooten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominik Michnik was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilserheide FC's goalkeeper Henning Rühmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Cracovia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Edgar Gniech hit a great ball. After having played for 14 minutes, Deon Grooten managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilserheide FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deon Grooten was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sol Motz during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th minute, Sol Motz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dominik Michnik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deon Grooten's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Cracovia's Stefan Kasperowicz got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute, Jostein Latocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute of the match Miromir Pietrowiak sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henning Rühmann skillfully saved the ball. Cracovia's Edgar Gniech got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ilserheide FC defense, Adam Maruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henning Rühmann. The Ilserheide FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henning Rühmann should have stopped the shot. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilserheide FC's goalkeeper Henning Rühmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 54th minute of the match Cracovia got a corner. Ilserheide FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miromir Pietrowiak ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pankracy Naujasodis was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 58th minute, Edgar Gniech got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adam Maruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cracovia's Damian Gongola shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Henning Rühmann but with some difficulty. If Adam Maruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Quint kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Berko Henke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominik Michnik. Cracovia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berko Henke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Edgar Gniech struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Henning Rühmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cracovia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Gniech in the 76th minute of play forced Ilserheide FC's goalkeeper Henning Rühmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Gongola during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cracovia! In the 82nd minute, Adam Maruda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Henning Rühmann, passed just outside the right post. 82 minutes into the match, Edgar Gniech dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henning Rühmann, 1-2. Adam Maruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Rühmann having to interfere. Konrad Gecionis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Deon Grooten came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ilserheide FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deon Grooten couldn't finish the play. Berko Henke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deon Grooten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominik Michnik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Berko Henke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Michnik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deon Grooten might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominik Michnik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deon Grooten ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ilserheide FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cracovia's performance. The match ended with a win for Cracovia.
