When Toon Wynaerts came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toon Wynaerts couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Yvan Denys got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 6 minutes into the game, Tadeusz Malik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. lech poznań's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zoetwater the free kick. In the 7th match minute, lech poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogumil Erland to maneuver through the defense. Loui Sielis didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when lech poznań's Przemyslaw Brak shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Lucjan Gurgul came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Zoetwater's Robert Van Hespe. But to his dismay, Robert Van Hespe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Yvan Denys recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 20 minutes, Richey Waterloos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zoetwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richey Waterloos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucjan Gurgul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toon Wynaerts in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Toon Wynaerts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but lech poznań's Lucjan Gurgul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Zoetwater's Robbrecht Voet got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Szymon Malewicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loui Sielis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Tadeusz Malik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lech poznań's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Malik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucjan Gurgul made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Yvan Denys sent off a good shot on target. Lucjan Gurgul was a little too slow when Toon Wynaerts got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Szymon Malewicki made a kick off. A collision led to lech poznań getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Zachariasz Cymbal hit a great ball. Toon Wynaerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucjan Gurgul read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zoetwater's goalkeeper Loui Sielis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Szymon Malewicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loui Sielis having to interfere. lech poznań's Lucjan Gurgul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toon Wynaerts in the 66th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Zoetwater's zone, Szymon Malewicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loui Sielis came out of the goal and Szymon Malewicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tadeusz Malik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeusz Malik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loui Sielis having to interfere. Zoetwater's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tadeusz Malik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. lech poznań's Lucjan Gurgul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Louis Verhaeghen in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, lech poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Toon Wynaerts came free, but Lucjan Gurgul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by lech poznań's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarne Huijbregs was slow to take the kick. During this time Zoetwater's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Toon Wynaerts managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoetwater's supporters rose to their feet, but Toon Wynaerts was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucjan Gurgul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zoetwater's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
