The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Whitefield AFC's protests and gave Pierre Essafi a yellow card for diving instead. After 9 played minutes Whitefield AFC got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Essafi. In the 11th minute Ali Negrouz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Rühmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mourad Saidi in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henning Rühmann saved Ilserheide FC from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Berko Henke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ilserheide FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ali Negrouz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deon Grooten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berko Henke struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. In the 86th minute, Ali Negrouz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Berko Henke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilserheide FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berko Henke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Whitefield AFC's Mourad Saidi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henning Rühmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mourad Saidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Whitefield AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ilserheide FC.
