Mourad Saidi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd match minute, lech poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zula Brodzki to maneuver through the defense. Mourad Saidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Whitefield AFC's goalkeeper Abdallah Sguir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szymon Malewicki. After a rather tough play, lech poznań's Zula Brodzki got a free kick in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in lech poznań's zone, Ali Negrouz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucjan Gurgul came out of the goal and Ali Negrouz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Negrouz in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucjan Gurgul prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Szymon Malewicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Abdallah Sguir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeusz Malik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the game, Bogumil Erland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. lech poznań's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whitefield AFC the free kick. Bogumil Erland hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

60 minutes into the game, Whitefield AFC's Mourad Saidi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucjan Gurgul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ali Negrouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucjan Gurgul having to interfere. The supporters of Whitefield AFC booed when lech poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachariasz Cymbal didn't get a good kick on the ball.
