In the 21st minute of the match, Charles-Louis Verhaeghen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ostap Barylko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Kushka in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Richey Waterloos's late challenge caught a Kachovka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Richey Waterloos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Anton Kushka notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Zoetwater's Loui Sielis. Loui Sielis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
