Zayvion Ispuzua showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Pankracy Zajonc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zayvion Ispuzua, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Gilmar Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Pankracy Zajonc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zayvion Ispuzua. An unexpectedly hard shot by Félix Torres in the 41st minute of play forced MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Pankracy Zajonc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of MZ Fénix booed when Barcelona de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Fermosel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Waldoch to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cai Yuan Yuan was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Caetano Levandowsky sped through MZ Fénix's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pankracy Zajonc. 59 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Levandowsky came free, but Pankracy Zajonc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Levandowsky got in the 59th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Pankracy Zajonc handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Levandowsky in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Caetano Levandowsky notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc. Pankracy Zajonc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. MZ Fénix made a substitution. Alexandre Valido replaced Vladimiro Granja. Barcelona de América's attentive Calisto Cean managed to snatch the ball when Lázaro Ramalho made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Caetano Levandowsky had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Zajonc. MZ Fénix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caetano Levandowsky was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 77th minute Ronaldinho Gentenaar suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lázaro Ramalho during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Barcelona de América's Lorenzo Viergol was substituted for Ronaldinho Gentenaar. Gilmar Quadros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 92nd minute Cai Yuan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Barcelona de América's Caetano Levandowsky in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MZ Fénix's goalie prevented a goal.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barcelona de América had won after a very even match.
