Fernanco Peso started the match with the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 5 minutes, Jon Iruegas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Sporting Cristal's Jon Iruegas got control of the ball when Jakub Moder tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Christian Luciano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, Swansea City AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Dias to maneuver through the defense. Gertjan De Ryck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jakub Moders short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Jon Iruegas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Sporting Cristal's Christian Luciano in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fernanco Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Necdet Razi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Fernanco Peso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Necdet Razi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernanco Peso in the 30th minute of play forced Swansea City AFC's goalkeeper Ahmet Necdet Razi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Luciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Necdet Razi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Ludomil Kolba kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when André Luiz Meireles made the kick off in the second half. Jon Iruegas came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Swansea City AFC's André Luiz Meireles. But to his dismay, André Luiz Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mawrth Hamill in the 57th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernanco Peso hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jon Iruegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Meireles in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luiz Meireles in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Iruegas saved Sporting Cristal from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Lorenz in the 80th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Iruegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Moder in the 83rd minute of the match.
