Angelino Inautzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Patrick Izzo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas. Bernardino Dimas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Primitivo Abeitia lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Izzo in the 43rd minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Angelino Inautzi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Jay Jowsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After 66 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Patrick Izzo made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardino Dimas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Rio Cuarto from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Jay Jowsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Attard Gunners's Michael Testaferrata Olivier was substituted for Patrick Izzo. Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution. Gaston Gitano replaced Gustav Högström. Atlético Rio Cuarto's Humberto Francesco was substituted for Marco Gurutz. Bernardino Dimas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Said in the 89th minute. Bernardino Dimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Testaferrata Olivier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardino Dimas made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani sent off a good shot on target. Attard Gunners's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
