The BLACK BULL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. Algeria's Farouk Benhelal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Corrêa in the 35th minute of play. If Djamil Ayad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. BLACK BULL's Vicente Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazir Hadjadj in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Djamil Ayad made a kick off. When BLACK BULL's Bai Liang Kun in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Algeria's goalie prevented a goal. Nazir Hadjadj's late challenge caught a BLACK BULL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nazir Hadjadj helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Algeria got a freekick which was hit by Nazir Hadjadj. Farouk Benhelal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Djamil Ayad ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Gaúcho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Bai Liang Kun struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Farouk Benhelal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BLACK BULL. Djamil Ayad took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vicente Gaúcho. Vicente Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Vicente Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Algeria's Nazir Hadjadj. But to his dismay, Nazir Hadjadj quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Vicente Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazir Hadjadj in the 85th minute of the match. When Algeria's Nazir Hadjadj in 91 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vicente Gaúcho guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 93rd minute, Algeria's Djamil Ayad dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. The Algeria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Algeria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
