Placido Vergaray kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Boizão Club do Recife were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Tornado FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zé Paulo Messias took the corner. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Ovidio Celino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Boizão Club do Recife's Veniamin Shashkov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ovidio Celino. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Boizão Club do Recife's Ovidio Celino threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Veniamin Shashkov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Veniamin Shashkov in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Celino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the game, Zé Pedro Cardoso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ovidio Celino. Zé Pedro Cardoso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 31 minutes into the match, Tornado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Veniamin Shashkov came free, but Ovidio Celino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Veniamin Shashkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tornado FC's Ovidio Celino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Tornado FC defense, Zé Pedro Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidio Celino. The Tornado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidio Celino should have stopped the shot. When Zé Pedro Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Boizão Club do Recife fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Cardoso couldn't finish the play. After 44 played minutes Boizão Club do Recife got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Rosado. Aldo Quintun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cirilo Pacifico was the one to do the kick off. Cirilo Pacifico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Isidro Rio made a huge save. Ovidio Celino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Cardoso's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Zé Pedro Cardoso put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ovidio Celino. After some careless play in the Tornado FC defense, Veniamin Shashkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidio Celino. The Tornado FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidio Celino should have stopped the shot. The referee gave Boizão Club do Recife a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zé Paulo Messias, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tornado FC's Ovidio Celino. 8-0. After 67 played minutes Tornado FC got a freekick which was hit by Casimiro Petri. Enzo Caitano kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Isidoro Salvino hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Zé Pedro Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tornado FC's Ovidio Celino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veniamin Shashkov in the 78th minute of play forced Tornado FC's goalkeeper Ovidio Celino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Celino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Cardoso in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Zé Pedro Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boizão Club do Recife's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Pedro Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tornado FC's Ovidio Celino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veniamin Shashkov in the 97th minute of play.
