Doyhenard AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustave Paelinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Golondrina FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Llope had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustave Paelinck. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Doyhenard AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bernardino Gonsalve was slow to take the kick. During this time Golondrina FC's players had a chance to rest. Aureliano Petrigai was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post.

Doyhenard AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
