The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florian Tomporowski during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Amelinium Gdynia's Florian Tomporowski got a free kick in the 4th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Oegstgeest Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Tomaka came free, but Jan Weinands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Tomaka did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Jan Weinands 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oegstgeest Excelsior's zone, Stefan Tomaka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Weinands came out of the goal and Stefan Tomaka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wit Chwalkiewicz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Oegstgeest Excelsior's Robin Lokin. But to his dismay, Robin Lokin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 29 minutes into the match, Amelinium Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Hette Ploeger came free, but Wit Chwalkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Stefan Tomaka sped through Oegstgeest Excelsior's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Weinands. If Stefan Tomaka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Oegstgeest Excelsior's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Tomporowski came free, but Jan Weinands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Weinands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Tomaka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Tomporowski struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jan Weinands didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Amelinium Gdynia. In the 46th minute, Bob Paauwe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. İlyas Sarıdoğan hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stefan Tomaka was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Oegstgeest Excelsior's Hette Ploeger got a free kick in the 56th minute. Jan Weinands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Tomaka, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Florian Tomporowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Weinands was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Robin Lokin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Wit Chwalkiewicz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Stefan Tomaka sped through Oegstgeest Excelsior's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jan Weinands. Jan Weinands showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Tomaka in the 74th minute of play forced Oegstgeest Excelsior's goalkeeper Jan Weinands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oegstgeest Excelsior's Jan Weinands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Tomporowski in the 75th minute of play. Walmyr Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Walmyr Zanette hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Florian Tomporowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Huub Timmer kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 90thth minute of the game Stefan Tomaka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oegstgeest Excelsior's Jan Weinands was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 94 played minutes Oegstgeest Excelsior got a freekick which was hit by Ton Bogarde.

Amelinium Gdynia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
