In the 8th minute Timoteo Kimetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manole Mocanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Mocanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Onbera, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ionel Ielciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Angelino Abaunza made a huge save. In the 38th match minute, Carlitos Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Bibiano to maneuver through the defense. Igor Bibiano was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Angelino Abaunza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Ionaș in the 57th minute of the match. Angelino Abaunza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Mitu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manole Mocanu made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Uriel Manex sent off a good shot on target. When Iordache Arnăutu fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Steaua București's protests and gave Iordache Arnăutu a yellow card for diving instead. Iordache Arnăutu hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of Carlitos Team booed when Steaua București was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Mitu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timoteo Kimetz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manole Mocanu having to interfere. Toader Ipătescu succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Steaua București made a substitution. Eugen Pașcanu replaced Dinu Mincu. Iosif Mitu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steaua București's Gelu Bogatu got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Carlitos Team's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Mitu came free, but Angelino Abaunza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steaua București's attentive Toader Ipătescu managed to snatch the ball when Cornelio Esdras made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. After having played for 83 minutes, Gelu Bogatu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua București's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gelu Bogatu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gelu Bogatu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cezar Ponor hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Gelu Bogatu notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Carlitos Team's Angelino Abaunza. Angelino Abaunza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the referee ended the match the Steaua București players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
