Chucho Dean showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Owens in the 9th minute of the match. Strong Survive's Tolga Tümkurt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Strong Survive from getting a goal against them. In the 14th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ximun Tocos to maneuver through the defense. Saul Owens took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chucho Dean. Astillero del Guayas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Strong Survive's Monroe Cervantes got a free kick in the 18th minute. Chucho Dean came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Strong Survive's Vidar Alegren. But to his dismay, Vidar Alegren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Strong Survive's Vidar Alegren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chucho Dean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Garcia Jado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Saul Owens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Bazquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strong Survive the free kick. Arnoldo Bazquez kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Chucho Dean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Owens's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Gustavo Oro charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Oro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Strong Survive booed when Astillero del Guayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes, Brad Owen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strong Survive and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brad Owen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jorge Bojarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garcia Jado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorge Bojarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Saul Owens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Ximun Tocos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolga Tümkurt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chucho Dean made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Vidar Alegren sent off a good shot on target. Saul Owens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Strong Survive's Damien Arias was substituted for Monroe Cervantes. In the 70th minute, Marco Urquiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Damien Arias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chucho Dean. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chucho Dean should have stopped the shot. After 79 minutes, Xayvion Lojo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astillero del Guayas and the Strong Survive players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tolga Tümkurt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Jado in the 82nd minute of play. Tolga Tümkurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garcia Jado, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Garcia Jado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Xayvion Lojo hit a great ball.

The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Strong Survive walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
