With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carlos Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led to Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Arjen Robben getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Gernando Azevedo took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raphael Dantas. Raphael Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 28th match minute, Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolando Obano to maneuver through the defense. João Carlos Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbigniew Zatorski's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Raphael Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Stefan Stenquist threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Andrea Heraso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Gernando Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Dantas was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Carlos-Henrique Casemiro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rolando Obano, made in the 87th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gabriel Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raphael Dantas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After 94 played minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo do Nascimento.
