Cacá Maciel was a little too slow when Victor Blom got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 5th minute. The score was now 1-0. Sipo EC's Cacá Maciel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Sipo EC from getting a goal against them. Sunkens Surtröjor's Sokol Narev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Messias in the 16th minute of play. Victor Blom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sipo EC's José Paulo Prata got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Sokol Narev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When Sunkens Surtröjor's Victor Blom in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Victor Blom sped through Sipo EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cacá Maciel. With a little luck, Sipo EC's Cacá Maciel got control of the ball when Victor Blom tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Victor Blom came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sunkens Surtröjor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Blom couldn't finish the play. After having played for 37 minutes, Victor Blom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunkens Surtröjor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Blom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Sunkens Surtröjor booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cacá Maciel made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Laércio Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute Sunkens Surtröjor were awarded a corner. Laércio Coutinho went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sipo EC's goalie and right to Victor Blom. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sipo EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Rodolfo Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sokol Narev having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Décio Messias to strike the kick off in the second half. Cacá Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laércio Coutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 86th minute Anton Galle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cacá Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frans Alström in the 90th minute of the match. Anton Galle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cacá Maciel having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Galle in the 96th minute of play forced Sipo EC's goalkeeper Cacá Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sipo EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
