A collision led to GREEK ARMY getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Stamatis Zindros hit a great ball. Paolo Caradaro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Themos Batiropoulos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 12 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's Remigio Erramu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Paolo Caradaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Eustaquio Jaizki sped through GREEK ARMY's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Themos Batiropoulos. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bon Culot in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when GREEK ARMY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stamatis Zindros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Themos Batiropoulos having to make a save. If Paolo Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Lázaro Cuartio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Themos Batiropoulos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benigno Abreu in the 30th minute. If Eustaquio Jaizki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Kasper Elssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustaquio Jaizki in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Themos Batiropoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Themos Batiropoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosendo Cutberto in the 40th minute of the match. Süruri Şanalp's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Süruri Şanalp helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Süruri Şanalp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Süruri Şanalp stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Ferdinand. If Bon Culot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Caradaro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GREEK ARMY's Stratos Alexatos got a free kick in the 57th minute. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Süruri Şanalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustaquio Jaizki scored 3-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Themos Batiropoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustaquio Jaizki in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Themos Batiropoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eustaquio Jaizki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Themos Batiropoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paolo Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stratos Alexatos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Eustaquio Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Süruri Şanalp in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Themos Batiropoulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rdth minute of the game Eustaquio Jaizki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEK ARMY's Themos Batiropoulos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Süruri Şanalp came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the GREEK ARMY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Süruri Şanalp couldn't finish the play. Kasper Elssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eustaquio Jaizki in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Themos Batiropoulos saved GREEK ARMY from getting behind. Themos Batiropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Caradaro in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the GREEK ARMY players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Atlanta.
