Celso Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Germano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Teles in the 43rd minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Remigio Erramu made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Club Atlético Atlanta's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
