When Predators's Çakır Baycan in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grêmio FBPA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 5thth minute of the game Marcel Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Çakır Baycan in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Varela saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. Rui Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Çakır Baycan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 minutes of play, Predators's Çakır Baycan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 16 played minutes Predators got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Freitas. Marcel Freitas scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Varela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rui Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Freitas in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marcel Freitas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Varela was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Ronaldo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uchenna Panter having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Freitas in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Freitas in the 34th minute of play. Rui Varela came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Predators's Çakır Baycan. But to his dismay, Çakır Baycan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Grêmio FBPA's Dino Castro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lisandro Valente, made in the 40th minute of the game. Rui Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walker Bird, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Marcel Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Predators's Çakır Baycan in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Freitas was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Atalay Sami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Aytunç Şerefhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcel Freitas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Freitas got free with Rui Varela in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, Dudu Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rdth minute of the game Marcel Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Predators fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Predators's Çakır Baycan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 67 minutes, Çakır Baycan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Predators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çakır Baycan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aytunç Şerefhan in the 69th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atalay Sami in the 71st minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Predators's corner Çakır Baycan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rui Varela quite easily take care of the ball. Claudinho Zonta's late challenge caught a Predators's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinho Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Claudinho Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Varela made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Marcel Freitas sent off a good shot on target. Rui Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Çakır Baycan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Rui Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atalay Sami in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Predators's Çakır Baycan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 82nd minute Çakır Baycan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Predators fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Predators's Çakır Baycan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Predators booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudu Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atalay Sami struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Rui Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Predators. The Grêmio FBPA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Predators were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
