Floriana Celtics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Urpani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean Carl Ciantar scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aurelio Di Lullo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Jason Haber, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdieri were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Floriana Celtics's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elia Mascitti took the corner. Aurelio Di Lullo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Urpani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Austin Gatt took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Di Lullo. After having played for 64 minutes, Jean Carl Ciantar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malcolm Hili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuele Ranieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Floriana Celtics had played much better football throughout.
