Floriana Celtics's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edin Džeko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Edin Džeko scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jason Haber, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Edin Džeko came free, but Jason Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jason Haber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edin Džeko, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 23 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Carl Ciantar came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edin Džeko in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jason Haber saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. After 29 minutes of play, GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jason Haber was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Ekgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GeRaÇãO-83's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floriana Celtics the free kick. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when GeRaÇãO-83 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Pepe Haedo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GeRaÇãO-83's Grzegorz Siekierski didn't even have to move. Grzegorz Siekierski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin Gatt in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Edin Džeko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GeRaÇãO-83 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. When Edin Džeko came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the GeRaÇãO-83 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edin Džeko couldn't finish the play. After 46 played minutes GeRaÇãO-83 got a freekick which was hit by Mario Cristofor.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Medero Gadea was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Floriana Celtics defense, Edin Džeko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jason Haber. The Floriana Celtics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jason Haber should have stopped the shot. With his leg Jason Haber managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when GeRaÇãO-83's Edin Džeko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 59 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Edin Džeko came free, but Jason Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edin Džeko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jason Haber made a huge save. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jason Haber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Floriana Celtics's Jason Haber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 68th minute of play. Jason Haber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edin Džeko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GeRaÇãO-83's Grzegorz Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Urpani in the 78th minute of play. GeRaÇãO-83's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
