After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Celestino Illart got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Angel Di Maria could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Erubiel Osoro however easily saved by the left post. Sporting de Gijón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mauro Perez in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Mauro Perez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hacha y Tiza FC's Erubiel Osoro did a great save. Erubiel Osoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Di Maria in the 16th minute of play. Angel Di Maria in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erubiel Osoro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Erubiel Osoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Eriz went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the game, Clemente Bihar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hacha y Tiza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting de Gijón the free kick. After 28 played minutes Hacha y Tiza FC got a freekick which was hit by Clemente Bihar. With a little luck, Hacha y Tiza FC's Erubiel Osoro got control of the ball when Angel Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fausto George took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Bihar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto George didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Bihar went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The long shot by Celestino Illart in the 38th minute really tested Erubiel Osoro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 39th minute, Clemente Bihar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hacha y Tiza FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Peruxu made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Hacha y Tiza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Perez came free, but Erubiel Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Illart during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Celestino Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Fernando Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hacha y Tiza FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mauro Perez was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting de Gijón's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mauro Perez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erubiel Osoro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sporting de Gijón's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After 68 minutes of play, Hacha y Tiza FC's Fabricio Xabel made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fausto George was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sporting de Gijón's Angelo Bertin was substituted for Angel Di Maria. Sporting de Gijón's Omar Etor was substituted for Wilfredo Etxahun. In the 75th minute of the game Atilano Millan made a throw-in which Fabricio Xabel played forward. Bonifacio Oliverio charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bonifacio Oliverio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hacha y Tiza FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Oliverio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Illart hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hacha y Tiza FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Bihar came free, but Fausto George reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hacha y Tiza FC played a much better game than Sporting de Gijón and deserved their victory. The Sporting de Gijón players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
