Paulino Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basarab Zburliş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Hibai having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Manuel Hibai successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Ekialde in the 19th minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Eugen Jupân to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Hibai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Nicodim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to DINAMO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Aurelian Dragomir hit a great ball. With a little luck, Club Atlethico Talleres's Manuel Hibai got control of the ball when Basarab Zburliş tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manuel Hibai was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Basarab Zburliş capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basarab Zburliş really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Damian Urko's late challenge caught a DINAMO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damian Urko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Club Atlethico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Urko to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Felipe Galindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 36 minutes, Paulino Gonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlethico Talleres and the DINAMO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Club Atlethico Talleres's Manuel Hibai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlethico Talleres from getting a goal against them. Ryszard Borcz got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-0 in the right cross in the 37th match minute before Manuel Hibai had time to react. Manuel Hibai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonard Demian in the 40th minute. Ovidiu Isbășoiu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. DINAMO's Eugen Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Cordareo in the 43rd minute of play. If Ovidiu Isbășoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidiu Isbășoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Hibai having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidiu Isbășoiu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Basarab Zburliş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Hibai having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Felipe Galindo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlethico Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Galindo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Jupân breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ovidiu Isbășoiu during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Club Atlethico Talleres booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovidiu Isbășoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paulino Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atlethico Talleres's Felipe Galindo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91stth minute of the game Felipe Galindo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Eugen Jupân was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlethico Talleres defense, Lucrețiu Nicodim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Hibai. The Club Atlethico Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Hibai should have stopped the shot. The DINAMO players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
