The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Alijilán returns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Ibanez to maneuver through the defense. Lino Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Zburliş, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. With his leg Lino Naelio managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when DINAMO's Ryszard Borcz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Zburliş in the 8th minute of play forced Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Lino Naelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Angel Leguizamón. Eugen Jupân showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Garate in the 13th minute of the match. Eugen Jupân stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Iruinea's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Călin Feroiu got free with Lino Naelio in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lino Naelio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryszard Borcz went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute Saul Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Jupân saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Rolando Olayo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eugen Jupân quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 27 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Garate came free, but Eugen Jupân reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramón Abila hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. DINAMO's Eugen Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Garate in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Alijilán returns booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Zburliş didn't get a good kick on the ball. DINAMO's Eugen Jupân played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Iruinea in the 35th minute of play. Eugen Jupân didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saul Iruinea went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eugen Jupân didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Alijilán returns's Saul Iruinea shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After the first half Alijilán returns were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eugen Jupân made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Saul Iruinea sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Iruinea got free with Eugen Jupân in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Alijilán returns:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DINAMO:s goal. After 66 minutes, Ramón Abila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alijilán returns and the DINAMO players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ramón Abila hit a great ball. In the 71st minute Ryszard Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Naelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Garate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimeno Seme struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Eugen Jupân didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alijilán returns. Călin Feroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Leandro Garate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alijilán returns's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Garate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Jupân breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lino Naelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryszard Borcz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Garate came free, but Eugen Jupân reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Henric Casas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DINAMO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alijilán returns the free kick. In the 90th minute, one of DINAMO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for DINAMO. In the 100th minute, Angel Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alijilán returns were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over DINAMO's much stronger midfield.
