Marian Alungulesei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Mané Paulista made a huge save. Borussia Brasov's Marcial Chabier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Maranhense in the 17th minute of play. Marcial Chabier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Chaves in the 18th minute of the match. When Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tortinho's goalie prevented a goal. Marcial Chabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Chabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulysses Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Mané Paulista yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. In the 44th match minute, Tortinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Arantes to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marian Alungulesei was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Marian Alungulesei notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Tortinho's Mané Paulista. Mané Paulista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Marian Alungulesei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the game, Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mané Paulista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. With an all-out effort, Tortinho's Marcial Chabier threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wesley Chaves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 84th play minutes Marian Alungulesei shot 7-1, a short shot which went by Mané Paulista and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tortinho's zone, Marian Alungulesei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Paulista came out of the goal and Marian Alungulesei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Chaves kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Cristinel Ştefulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Tortinho's Ulysses Penha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcial Chabier. That made the score 7-2 after 96 minutes of play.
