Marcial Chabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gyula Fejes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcial Chabier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Attila Molnár, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Borussia Brasov's Marian Alungulesei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sándor Fodor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 28 minutes Borussia Brasov's goalkeeper Marcial Chabier managed, with a little bit of luck, save Bence Borsó's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 28th minute, George United's Bence Borsó ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcial Chabier. Marcial Chabier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gyula Fejes in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcial Chabier saved Borussia Brasov from getting behind. Borussia Brasov's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Gergely Újházi scored to the left of an out of position Marcial Chabier, making the score, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in George United's zone, Marian Alungulesei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Fodor came out of the goal and Marian Alungulesei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcial Chabier made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Gergely Újházi sent off a good shot on target. Borussia Brasov's Marcial Chabier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gyula Fejes in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Alungulesei made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, George United's Gergely Újházi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marian Alungulesei might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sándor Fodor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marian Alungulesei ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gergely Újházi in the 61st minute of play forced Borussia Brasov's goalkeeper Marcial Chabier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, István Földvári left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The George United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1.
