After a defensive mix-up in Central Coast Mariners's zone, Gergely Újházi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 方康剑 came out of the goal and Gergely Újházi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sándor Fodor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 宋城希 in the 18th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes George United got a freekick which was hit by István Földvári. The audience was convinced that 宋城希's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sándor Fodor was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Sándor Fodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 庞烨斌, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Gyula Fejes made a precise shot to the right of 方康剑. Central Coast Mariners's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 38th minute, István Földvári hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 宋城希 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd match minute, George United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gyula Fejes to maneuver through the defense. Sándor Fodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 宋城希 to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, István Földvári dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of 方康剑, 2-2. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Gergely Újházi took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for 方康剑 to make any attempt to save it. 方康剑 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gergely Újházi in the 61st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gergely Újházi got free with 方康剑 in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute George United were awarded a corner. Bence Borsó went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led George United's Bence Borsó to fire away a dangerous shot which 方康剑 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 宋城希's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sándor Fodor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Sándor Fodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute 庞烨斌 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Fodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, István Földvári took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for 方康剑 to make any attempt to save it. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Central Coast Mariners lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
