The supporters of Tortinho booed when Ariguapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cisco Villafuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute Eurico Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garcia Ribero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertran Lizundia took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mané Paulista. Mané Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ulysses Penhas short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Garcia Ribero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bertran Lizundia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Mané Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Beila Purrigimon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Ulysses Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tortinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Ariguapa's Gualterio Morera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mané Paulista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ulysses Penha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Ribero having to interfere. In the 31st minute Bertran Lizundia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eurico Amaral in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Garcia Ribero saved Ariguapa from getting behind. Eurico Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Ribero having to interfere. If Gualterio Morera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualterio Morera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bertran Lizundia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Mané Paulista skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Gualterio Morera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertran Lizundia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mané Paulista made a huge save. When Franklin Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tortinho's protests and gave Franklin Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Franklin Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Paulista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertran Lizundia in the 57th minute. After 63 played minutes Ariguapa got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Montane. In the 64thth minute of the game Eurico Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ariguapa's Garcia Ribero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bertran Lizundia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eurico Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcia Ribero having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Ulysses Penha made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ariguapa's Garcia Ribero tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Tortinho defense, Bertran Lizundia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mané Paulista. The Tortinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mané Paulista should have stopped the shot. Mané Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Morera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Bertran Lizundia sped through Tortinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mané Paulista. In the 86thth minute of the game Eurico Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ariguapa's Garcia Ribero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ulysses Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastiano Taran's late challenge caught a Tortinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastiano Taran helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Ariguapa got a freekick which was hit by Sebastiano Taran. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulysses Penha in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Garcia Ribero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ariguapa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
