Hertha Berlin's Iztal Marisancena got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Aron Ghinescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iztal Marisancena in the 11th minute of play forced George United's goalkeeper Sándor Fodor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aron Ghinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. George United's Sándor Fodor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Ghinescu in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Aron Ghinescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sándor Fodor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Ghinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Fodor having to interfere. The Hertha Berlin fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Hertha Berlin's Iztal Marisancena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 26 minutes into the match, Hertha Berlin's Aron Ghinescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sándor Fodor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Földvári in the 29th minute of play forced Hertha Berlin's goalkeeper Diguinho Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iztal Marisancena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Fodor having to interfere. With a little luck, Hertha Berlin's Diguinho Oliveira got control of the ball when Attila Molnár tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iztal Marisancena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sándor Fodor having to make a save. In the 36th match minute, George United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szilárd Vörös to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 37 minutes, Iztal Marisancena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hertha Berlin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iztal Marisancena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute, Iztal Marisancena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sándor Fodor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4.

The crowd rose to their feet as Hertha Berlin's Iztal Marisancena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sándor Fodor. That made the score 0-5 after 51 minutes of play. Hertha Berlin's Aron Ghinescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 0-7 became the score in the 62nd minute when Aron Ghinescu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 68thth minute of the game Aron Ghinescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but George United's Sándor Fodor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 minutes, Iztal Marisancena made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. George United's Sándor Fodor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sándor Fodor stood somewhat misplaced when Aron Ghinescu came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 80 minute. Iztal Marisancena struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sándor Fodor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hertha Berlin. George United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Aron Ghinescu scored to the left of an out of position Sándor Fodor, making the score, 0-11. Sándor Fodor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aron Ghinescu's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Iztal Marisancena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Sándor Fodor made a huge save. István Földvári kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Hertha Berlin's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
