The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gyula Fejes in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristinel Ştefulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, George United's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Nacu came free, but Sándor Fodor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute of the match Borussia Brasov got a corner. George United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marin Surugiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marin Surugiu made a great header on Borussia Brasov's corner, it was just that George United's Sándor Fodor managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 13th minute, one of Borussia Brasov:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Brasov. Bence Borsó shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Sándor Fodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corneliu Nacu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mózes Kocsis took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristinel Ştefulescu. Cristinel Ştefulescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sándor Fodor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Nacu in the 26th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Bleoancă got free with Sándor Fodor in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sándor Fodor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolae Bleoancă went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Sándor Fodor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Nacu in the 40th minute of the match. Sándor Fodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Nacu in the 44th minute of play. If Nicolae Bleoancă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Corneliu Nacu to strike the kick off in the second half. Mózes Kocsis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristinel Ştefulescu having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, George United's Gyula Fejes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristinel Ştefulescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 3-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Corneliu Nacu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Borussia Brasov booed when George United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zsolt Ballai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Borussia Brasov's Corneliu Nacu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sándor Fodor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Mózes Kocsis came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the George United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mózes Kocsis couldn't finish the play. Nicolae Bleoancă's late challenge caught a George United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolae Bleoancă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Borussia Brasov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolae Bleoancă to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Gyula Fejes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristinel Ştefulescu. The goal made the score 3-3. In the 91st minute Gyula Fejes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gyula Fejes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
