Denílson Maranhense might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sándor Fodor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denílson Maranhense ran back to his position shaking his head. After 11 played minutes George United got a freekick which was hit by Attila Molnár. István Földvári hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Eurico Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tortinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Eurico Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sándor Fodor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Tortinho's Eurico Amaral dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 24th minute, Bence Borsó hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, George United's Szilárd Vörös got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Otávio Amaral sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sándor Fodor skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Eurico Lira put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sándor Fodor. In the 34th minute, Eurico Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tortinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Eurico Amaral spun around in front of the goal 40 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of George United's goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eurico Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mózes Kocsis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 55th playminute. Mózes Kocsis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Paulista having to interfere. Gyula Fejes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Péter Bolla during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to George United getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Péter Bolla hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Penha in the 70th minute of play forced George United's goalkeeper Sándor Fodor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tortinho's Mané Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gyula Fejes in the 72nd minute of play. Sándor Fodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Amaral in the 78th minute of play. Mané Paulista stood somewhat misplaced when Gyula Fejes came free in front of goal and shot 3-3 to the left of him in the 80 minute. George United's Mózes Kocsis got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gyula Fejes in the 92nd minute of play forced Tortinho's goalkeeper Mané Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attila Molnár kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. A collision led to George United getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. István Földvári hit a great ball. 99 minutes into the game, Eurico Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Sándor Fodor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
