With 3 minutes on the clock, Valkan Súrbov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Galatasaray SK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Valkan Súrbov hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Vancho Paleshutski came free, but Denko Kishev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ПФК Берое booed when Galatasaray SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Momchil Vatahov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, ПФК Берое's Yanko Gurmev sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denko Kishev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Denko Kishev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yanko Gurmev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Galatasaray SK defense, Velichko Trenkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denko Kishev. The Galatasaray SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denko Kishev should have stopped the shot. In the 17th match minute, ПФК Берое was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper De Boeck to maneuver through the defense. Galatasaray SK's Denko Kishev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yanko Gurmev in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Yanko Gurmev came free, but Denko Kishev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denko Kishev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Velichko Trenkov went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 30 minutes into the game, Velichko Trenkov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Denko Kishev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 minutes of play, ПФК Берое's Yanko Gurmev made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denko Kishev was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Velichko Trenkov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denko Kishev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casper De Boeck during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes ПФК Берое got a freekick which was hit by Casper De Boeck. Yanko Gurmev scored 0-7 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denko Kishev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Lazar Batalov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. During the 47th minute of the match Casper De Boeck completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Casper De Boeck a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, ПФК Берое's Casper De Boeck got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Galatasaray SK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ПФК Берое were winning 0-7.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Momchil Vatahov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60th play minutes Velichko Trenkov shot 0-9, a short shot which went by Denko Kishev and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 64th minute, Yanko Gurmev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ПФК Берое's Velichko Trenkov got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asparuh Nakev during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, one of Galatasaray SK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Denko Kishev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velichko Trenkov in the 78th minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Velichko Trenkov fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 91 minutes, Evlogi Milotinov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ПФК Берое and the Galatasaray SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Evlogi Milotinov kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Denko Kishev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velichko Trenkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Galatasaray SK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ПФК Берое were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
